Limited Warranty

Simple Fencing is proud to supply products manufactured to the highest standards. This document sets out the terms of the limited warranty provided by the manufacturer for the vinyl fencing and railing products supplied by Simple Fencing. Nothing in this warranty affects your statutory rights.

1. Residential Limited Lifetime Warranty

This warranty applies only to the original owner(s) of a private dwelling-house where the products were originally installed (“Homeowner”). For the purpose of this warranty, a private dwelling-house refers to a single-family detached, semi-detached, or terraced house. This warranty does not extend to properties that are used for commercial purposes or that contain multiple separate living units (such as a block of flats).

The manufacturer warrants that, when subject to normal and proper use, its vinyl products will not peel, rot, blister, rust, flake, chip, crack, corrode, or be consumed by termites. The manufacturer also warrants that the products will not suffer from abnormal discolouration due solely to defects in material or manufacturing.

This Residential Warranty remains valid for the lifetime of the original Homeowner, provided the conditions and limitations set out in this document are met. The warranty is non-transferable.

2. Commercial Limited 30-Year Warranty

This warranty applies to any installation not covered by the Residential Warranty, including but not limited to properties owned or managed by corporations, government agencies, partnerships, trusts, schools, organisations, or multi-unit housing complexes.

The warranty period for such applications is limited to 30 years from the original date of purchase. This Commercial Warranty is non-transferable.

3. Exclusions – What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty is limited strictly to defects in manufacturing. It does not cover damage, failure, or defects arising from any other cause, including but not limited to:

• Faulty, improper, or non-approved installation, handling, fabrication, or storage.
• Settlement, movement, distortion, or failure of the ground, surface, or structure on which the products are installed.
• Accidental damage, negligence, misuse, abuse, or intentional acts of damage.
• Exposure to fire, wind (including gusts), flood, lightning, or other Acts of God/Force Majeure events.
• Exposure to harmful chemicals, vapours, acid rain, or surface discolouration caused by atmospheric pollution.
• Failure to provide reasonable and necessary care or maintenance of the product.
• Alteration, modification, cutting, or repair of the product after supply.

4. Claims Process

To make a claim under this warranty:

1. Notify Simple Fencing in writing at info@simplefencing.co.uk within 30 days of discovering (or when you reasonably should have discovered) the alleged defect.
2. Your written claim must include: (a) a description of the defect, (b) photographs showing the issue, and (c) proof of purchase.
3. Simple Fencing will coordinate with the manufacturer to assess the claim. The manufacturer reserves the right to inspect the product in person before making any decision.

5. Remedies Available

If a product is found by the manufacturer to have a manufacturing defect covered by this warranty, the manufacturer’s sole and exclusive liability shall be, at its discretion, to:

• Provide replacement material of the same or equivalent style and quality; or
• Refund the original purchase price of the defective material only.

Under no circumstances shall Simple Fencing or the manufacturer be liable for costs of removal, reinstallation, labour, freight, consequential or incidental damages, or any other costs beyond the replacement or refund of defective material.

6. Product Changes and Availability

The manufacturer reserves the right to discontinue or modify any of its products without notice. In the event that the original product is no longer available, the manufacturer may provide a replacement of comparable quality or value. Due to normal weathering, replacement products may not exactly match the colour, shade, or gloss of the original materials.
